I have the ability to walk into a space and see what it ‘could’ be. I think it’s a gift that all good designers share – that ability to recognize the potential in a space and to help you see it, too. 

That’s not why you should hire me. 

Design isn’t about me or my aesthetics. It’s about you. Drawing on my deep roots in customer service, I have honed the ability to distill what my clients love and how they live, and to translate that into designs that work for them on every level. Aesthetically. Functionally. Socially. Aspirationally. I am a ‘people person’ to my core and I believe that design isn’t good design unless it aligns with who you are…and perhaps who you are becoming. 

Here’s another thing you should know about me. I understand construction. I had the great good fortune of starting my career as a project coordinator with a high-end residential and commercial construction firm. I was the one who helped to integrate the vision of the designer with the realities of the construction and procurement processes, bringing it all together on time and on budget. The education I gained was invaluable, and I carried those lessons with me as went on to study at BCIT to become an Interior Designer in my own right. I will always be the designer with one foot in the design world and the other in the construction world. Any plan I create for you will be more than just a beautiful realization of your dreams. It will be fully executable and financially feasible. 

My last point? This one is more of a ‘nice to have’ than a ‘must have,’ but it will impact your experience. My clients tell me I’m fun to work with and that my enthusiasm is infectious. The design process requires time together, sometimes a lot of it…learning, planning, shopping, executing. It’s good to like your designer.
